Homemade Chocolate

20 minutes 30 Servings

Absolutely delicious! You can make it as sweet or as bitter as you like by adjusting the amount of sugar you put in. You can also use any flavourings or toppings that you fancy.

For the chocolate:

200g Cacao Butter

200g Raw Cacao Powder

2 tbsp Coconut Sugar (or any sugar/sweetener)

1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)

1/2 tsp salt

Topping:

1/4 cup dried fruit - I used goji berries & sour cherries

3/4 cup roasted nuts - I used almonds, hazelnuts & pistachios

1/2 tsp salt

  1. Melt the cacao butter in a double boiler (glass bowl in pot)
  2. Add the sugar/ maple syrup & salt
  3. Mix in the raw cacao powder until thoroughly combined
  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the chocolate mix into the center. Using a rubber spatula, smear the chocolate out evenly – about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Sprinkle your favourite toppings.
  6. Pop into the fridge for 15 mins, or leave to cool on your counter for 2-4 hours.
